Yeast infections can be caused from sexual activity, but it’s not the sexual activity itself that is causing the yeast infection. Sexual activity is simply a method that’s used to pass yeast infection from person to person. I have answered some questions about getting a yeast infection from sexual activity. Generally, I get asked very specific questions about sexual activity. People want to know if they can get a yeast infection from oral sex, from being fingered, from sperm, from using lubricants, and even from condoms.

So yes you can get a yeast infection from all of those activities, but it’s not the activity itself that causes the yeast infection, it’s more like if your partner has it, or your body’s pH balance is ruined because of irritation or allergies. Some people even get it because of bad hygienic practices, but if you are careful and your partner is aware of his body you will not be getting a yeast infection from sexual activity.
