In terms of keeping candida under control, is spironolactone better to take than birth control?

My doctor put me on birth control (Yaz) because I stopped getting my period and had horrible hormonal acne. However, I have recently figured out that I have candida overgrowth and I know that birth control does not help this situation at all. I am afriad to go off of it though because my acne gets soo bad and I become very depressed. At one point I was on spironolactone and that helped with my acne. I am wondering if sprionolactone is just as bad to take as birth control (in terms of causing / encouraging candida overgrowth)...or it it the lesser of two evils?

It really seems to depend on the person. Some people react better to certain birth control medications than others. Some people seem to have severe reactions to birth control medication, and it's really something you need to work with your doctor on. After having a couple yeast infections, they will most likely switch you to a different one.
