if the anitbiotic caused the yeast infection would delay my period

I was taking a antibiotic for a staff infection and all of a sudden one day I relized my vagiana itched and bruned really bad but only on the out side of my vagiana. So I told my Mom and she said it sounds like a yeast infection and that the anitbiotic prolly cause but my period its few days late so I'm just wondering if maybe yeast ifections can stop the mentral cycle
