Help my baby daughter who is barely over 1 year old

My daughter got very sick at the time she was only 12 months old. Her immune system crashed and her blood cell count dropped to 150. The doctors said it was a bad virus and we spent a week in the hospital. Her levels bounced back and everything was better except she got a yeast infection diaper rash during all this. We have been through nystatin cream several different times and another cream that the doctor prescribed but I'm not sure what it is called. Anyway the nystatin seems to work while we are using it but as soon as we are done with it. The yeast infection comes right back. I am beyond frustrated. Now the doctor prescribed an bacterial infection cream because she has really big sores along with the yeast infection. My daughter has been dealing with this for almost 3 months now. I need help. I read a little bit about the diet and how it could affect this yeast. My daughter is a very picky eater. She loves any fruit especially mandarin organges and cheese and bread. That pretty much sums up her diet. And after reading your sight those are not good foods for infection. What else should I be feeding her. She has a milk allergy so yogurt is out. Is there anything that I can do to help her?

A baby is very delicate and you need to monitor them very carefully. Every food that they eat, should be looked at.

If I was you, I'd look at the foods that you can eat and avoid on a candida diet, and try to get your daughter to start eating that diet. You have to be careful that she gets all the necessary nutrients and doesn't lose weight though. The food on a candida diet just doesn't taste as good, and it's really hard to explain that to a baby, why they have to eat something they just don't like. Especially because your daughter is a very picky eater.
