Wondering if my symptom is candida?

I have been a sufferer of interstitial cystitis for about 10 years. I have learned to live with sudden uti symptoms that come and go. But recently they have become an everyday occurrence. I went to the doctor twice, thinking I might actually have a uti this time, but after 2 rounds of antibiotics, little to no relief. After reading your site, I wonder if my persistent problem could actually be candida? Have you had others who have been diagnosed the same come to for help? If so, what should I do?

It's really tough to say whether it's being caused by candida or there is another reason for your UTI. It does happen sometimes as Urinary Tract Infections can be bacterial or fungal (possibly something else that I'm unaware of as well).

It seems like you'd really have to get your urine analyzed to see if there are traces of candida in it. Taking too many antibiotics can be harmful if it's not caused by bacteria but instead by candida, but then again, if it is bacterial it's best to get rid of it asap even by taking antibiotics, as a UTI can do damage to your body, and it's really unbearable.
