I believe you would want to start treating the Candida immediately; otherwise the baby could very easily be born with a yeast or Candida problem as well. You can follow a healthy Candida diet, just be sure you receive ample amounts of protein and calcium, the calcium can be obtained by way of milk kefir. Ask your doctor for a good vitamin which includes minerals if he hasn’t already done this.
Also be very careful with the antifungals you choose as these along with the toxins that they generate can be dangerous to your baby. It is probably a better idea to avoid using prescription antifungals such as Nystatin, and instead put to use the natural food sources of antifungals. Some of those are rutabaga, Brussels sprouts, jalapeno peppers and garlic. You should also need to also be very careful with the other natural antifungals. For example, I would not choose to use grapefruit seed extract because this will also destroy the beneficial flora in your intestines which will be needed for both you and your baby’s immunity. I would also avoid oregano oil for the same reason. Choose a whole food antifungal source such as virgin coconut oil which will benefit you, the baby, and your intestinal environment allowing the good bacteria to thrive but at the same time it will destroy the Candida.
