How long after a yeast infection can I use tampons?

Is it safe to use tampons while you have a yeast infection? Should I wait until it's healed? If so, how long?

When I had a yeast infection I would wait until I was healed before I would consider using tampons.

Some women use tampons and put plain greek yogurt in their vagina as well, but I would personally just stick to pads if I had a yeast infection.
