Candida or depersonalization?

I am a 25 year old male and have been feeling poor the past two years. My symptoms include extreme brain fog, shoulder and neck pain, fatigue, dry eyes, a strange "pressure" in my forehead and sinuses, and general malaise. I have had my sinuses checked by an ENT and my bloodwork run multiple times and have been told I am in good health.

In high school I took antibiotics (doxycycline) for my skin for a long period of time. I have also experienced GI problems, although they have been alleviated in recent years by an improved in diet. Based on my research, all of these things seem to point to a candida overgrowth. However, I also recently learned about the disorder called depersonalization and I am considering that as a possible culprit since the past few years have not been great psychically.

Essentially, I am at a loss as to whether what I am feeling can be attributed to something physical (yeast overgrowth) or a mental (reaction to a difficult period in life). It may be a combination of both.

Regardless, the spacey, stoned, unreal feeling that I experience almost constantly is easily my most concerning symptom and what has me searching for a cure.

If you have any information on depersonalization disorder as it relates to candida, or any opinion on my case based on the information I have given you I would appreciate it.

You have to gow ith what ou really feel. Do you feel like it's depersonalization that is causing your problems, and that your symptoms aren't really candida or some other physical illness?

Candida can cause brain fog, where you are zoned out, almost feeling drunk, but I do not believe it causes depersonalization. I wonder if there is a link between candida and depersonalization, it really depends on what you feel. I do not think that there is a link between those two personally.

I am questioning the same exact thing! I have the same exact symptoms as what you had described and I'm trying to diagnose myself at this point. I've had tons of blood work, seen different doctors and neurologists and had an mri. I just want an answer!!!!
