I'm worried about losing weight before I start my diet

Hello,

I've been reading the web trying to find out what's wrong with me, and I think that I might have candida overgrowth. I've been feeling terrible for the past couple months.

It all started with a urinary tract infection which I took ciprofoxacin and it never helped me. I then took bactrim which helped me a little, but I felt lower back pains as well as lower abdominal pain. At the same time I had bacterial vaginosis and took metronidazole to get rid of that, but I was still in pain and went to see a radiologist who gave me a CT scan as well as an abdominal and pelvic ultrasound.

They found gallbladder stones, a small cyst on my right overy but nothing else. I was still in pain, getting much better, but 1 week after that I had intense itching and burning in my vagina. I went to the doctor to find out I had a yeast infection. I've been given 2 doses of fluconazole, and started reading about the diet. I'm a bit depressed and have been 108 pounds before I was sick, and now am only 103. I'm worried about losing more weight. Is there any diet that will not make me lose weight, or what about eating more of the particular foods that I'm allowed to eat? Thanks

First don't be upset regarding your issue as further stress will only make your symptoms worst. When you become stressed, your body releases more of a hormone called Cortisol. This hormone can weaken the immune system, and at the same time, cause elevated levels of blood sugar. Now, based on the information you have provided it seems like you are drowning yourself in anti-biotics. I would recommend you taking probiotics during and after your course of antibiotics. The reason being that antibiotics cause so many problems is they kill the healthy bacteria in our gut, and our healthy bacteria are needed to protect us from many problems. Once you've destroyed your healthy bacteria with antibiotics, numerous problems can take hold.
The most common problem to take hold is candida overgrowth, and candida overgrowth can be at the root of numerous health conditions including yeast infection. As of now take 3 tablespoons of coconut oil, twice a day, for several days. Coconut oil has numerous benefits and being a powerful antibacterial agent is just one of them. In fact, because coconut oil is such a powerhouse at keeping problems at bay, it's wise to consume it on a regular basis for constant antiviral and antibacterial protection. Also remove sugars, alcohol and grains from your diet until the infection is expunged. As always if the symptoms continue to persist contact a medical professional. Hope this helps :)
