Doctor prescribed me Diflucan, anything else I should do?

I am 28 years old and have been battlign muccotacious candida for about three years. I contracted it due to the use of antibiotics when I had chronic bronchitis. In the past two months it's been systemic, and I am now being treated with a diflucan regimen of 100mg every other day which I've been taking for the past 3 weeks. I'm feeling better after being so sick I was incapacitated, but was just looking for some extra advice. Is there anything I should be doing on top of the diflucan? Thanks

While Diflucan is undoubtedly effective against fungal infections, it is a powerful drug. If you suspect that you are enduring an outbreak of Candidiasis, it might be better to try some of the more natural remedies such as coconut oil, raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and probiotics. Coconut provides relief from the inflammation caused by candida, both externally and internally. Its high moisture retaining capacity keeps the skin from cracking or peeling off. Capric acid, Caprylic acid, caproic acid, myristic acid and lauric acid found in coconut oil help in eliminating Candida albicans.

Apple cider vinegar remedy for candida yeast infections is a time-honored regimen with excellent results. Raw, fermented foods (also called cultured foods) like raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar are an integral part of a healthy diet. These foods are rich in natural enzymes which aidin digestion. They also help to restore the natural balance of healthy bacteriain the gut by creating a perfect environment for those healthy bacteria to grow, all while keeping yeast like candida in check.

Probiotics are an effective part of Candida treatment because they reintroduce helpful bacteria to your gut. These bacteria create large, healthy colonies that crowd out the Candida yeast, regulate your stomach acidity and boost your immune system. This page contains everything you need to know about why and how to use probiotics to beat your Candida. Hope this helps.
