Yeast back with a vengeance

I have been suffering from yeast infections for the last 7 months. They seem to come atleast once a month. I saw my doctor regularly and even admitted myself into the hospital many many times for answers. And the results came back saying that it was a yeast infection and to take the one day diflican pill or the usual 3 day treatment. And so I did, every month for about 5 months. Then I was finally referred to a doctor who studies in natural medicine. He assured me that I will get better and that the yeast infections will surely go away. Finally I was happy. He gave me caprylic acid capsules, an immune booster, and a refrigerated probiotic capsule as well. He told me to stay away from sugars, wheat, and dairy much like what it says in your article. So a month went by and I was ecstatic because I didn't get an infection. Around that time of month when I do, I did notice a little bit of yeast but nothing serious. And it went away. But two months after following this diet, now, I am suffering probably one of the worst yeast infections I have ever had. I don't know if this is normal, but now I'm greatly discouraged and depressed. The naturopath then gave me silver. And I'm to drink 3 tbsp of that daily as well to help fight the infection off. I have been doing this for the last four days and things seem to be just getting worse. Is this normal? Is there anything else I can do? Should I seek help from a physician?

This is just a guess off the top of my head as it seems like you were recovering. You have to be on a very strict diet if you want this stuff to go away for good.

I would think that your yeast was building a resistance to the caprylic acid capsules. I would either rotate antifungals or use ones that they wouldn't build as much of a resistance to.

If you're nervous or worried you should definitely seek help from a physician.
