Yes, you can. Oral thrush, the form of Candida that manifests in the mouth and throat, is just as contagious as other types of yeast infection. While a yeast infection isn’t really considered to be a STD, it is very easy to pass from person to person, especially when bodily contact and the exchange of fluids is involved. If you kiss a person who has oral thrush, you will be exposing your own sensitive mucous membranes (a place where Candida lives naturally) to higher levels of the yeast organism. If you aren’t very healthy, or of the overgrowth you’re exposed to is very strong, you can develop your own case of oral thrush.
